In this seminar, we will review the main characteristics of the ABL stable phase and then we will summarize the main findings from two winter field campaigns at high latitudes Wi-BLEx (2009-2011) and ALPACA (2022).

We will also discuss current problems in understanding and simulating Stable ABLs and ongoing efforts.
