Titre : Lagrangian Sampling Platforms in the Surface Ocean: Validation and Derived Quantities for Biological Applications
Nom du conférencier : Alain de Verneil
Son affiliation : MIO
Laboratoire organisateur : LOCEAN
Date et heure : 23-06-2017 11h00
Lieu : Campus de Jussieu, salle de réunion LOCEAN, tour 45/55, 4eme étage
Résumé :

The deployment of Lagrangian floats and drift arrays has become a popular sampling strategy for biological field campaigns. Using and properly interpreting the data from these platforms requires special care, and a set of best practices is not always available. In this talk, I will present results from two contrasting field campaigns that highlight the particular approaches needed in, as well as opportunities presented by, the use of Lagrangian data sets.
