Séminaire du département de Géosciences de l’ENS-PSL.
Description
Water vapor plays a key role in the Earth’s weather and climate system. As the climate warms, the amount of water vapor in the atmosphere is expected to rise, which implies a cascade of changes in the global and regional energy and water cycles and in subsequent weather extremes.
Observing the spatial and temporal variability of water vapor is thus of crucial importance for improving our understanding of the underlying moist physical processes and validating weather and climate models.
