Description

In this talk, Dr. Burchfield will share an overview of the major challenges facing agricultural systems by discussing her recent work on declining crop diversity, farm operator livelihoods, and the agricultural impacts of climate change. She will also share three big ideas to support thriving agricultural systems in the Anthropocene: working with ecological systems; identifying and cultivating bright spots; and creating space for adaptive experimentation.
