Family residence permits (spouse and children)

The type of residence permit required depends on your situation. To stay in France with your spouse and find out all you need to know about the residence permit for your situation, visit the Public Service website:  HERE

Foreign minors residing in France do not require a residence permit. However, to facilitate their travel outside France, they can obtain a “document de circulation pour étranger mineur” (DCEM). The document is valid for 5 years, renewable.  For full information on this subject, visit the Service Public website:  HERE

You will undoubtedly need supporting documents, including your employment contract. For more details on the steps to follow, the conditions, and the supporting documents required, visit the Public Service website:  HERE

If you are still looking for a job, and if you hold a diploma issued by a French higher education establishment (e.g., Master's degree), you would be entitled to apply for a one-year, non-renewable residence permit, allowing you to stay in France to look for a job or set up a business: "Recherche d'emploi/Création d'entreprise (RECE)".
