PMIP celebrates its 30th anniversary

On the 2nd and 3rd december, the Paleoclimate Modelling Intercomparison Project (PMIP) celebrates its 30th anniversary. For the occasion, a 30 hours conference around the world is organised.

This project was launched during a conference organised by Jean Jouzel and Sylvie Joussaume in 1991 and has developed continuously since. Coordinated by LSCE since its start, it has carried out numerous paleoclimate modelling studies, as well as comparison studies between climate models and reconstructions, both in the laboratory and worldwide. This conference will be an opportunity to review the history of PMIP and to take part in the many discussions on various topics, which you will discover in the attached programme. Registration is free of charge and will allow us to organise the conference and the discussions in the best possible way.
