Gilles Reverdin is a researcher at LOCEAN. Before he discovered oceans, this lover of deserts, passed his thesis on the indian monsoon in 1980. He then discovered that oceans were too the field of important studies. He travelled a lot and worked in many places abroad, namely in Africa and the USA before he settled in France at LOCEAN (he is currently assistant director of the lab). He is also Coriolis research and development chief. He also supervises many students.
