Titre : Atmospheric moisture transport and its importance to Titan's climate and paleoclimate
Nom du conférencier : Juan Lora
Son affiliation : postdoctorant NSF à UCLA
Laboratoire organisateur : LMD

Lieu : UPMC - 4 place Jussieu - Paris - Salle de réunion du LMD (T45-55, 3e étage)
Résumé :

Titan's atmosphere and surface offer us a unique place to study planetary climates, particularly as Titan supports a significant and in many ways familiar hydrologic cycle that is nonetheless alien. In this talk I will present efforts to model the atmospheric circulation of Titan's lower atmosphere, with emphasis on its relationship to the methane in the atmosphere and on the surface. This includes investigations of the state of Titan's present climate, some aspects of its recent paleoclimate, and the mechanism of moisture transport that may connect the two and the observed asymmetry of
Titan's lakes.
